S2E24: Beasts of No Nation
Despite working perfectly for our budgets, seeing as how its a Netflix exclusive, Steve decided to see this hot film in theaters instead. Join us as we talk about its merits and discuss if its yet another project from the streaming giant fueled by the pursuit of industry accolades.
S2E23: The Walk
As a special treat for one of Steve’s final days in California, we drove out to Hollywood to catch this latest spectacle in the TCL Chinese Theater’s laser projected IMAX 3D auditorium. A one of a kind movie palace which is fitting for the feat that was recreated for the biopic. If only the film was as special as our environment was that day.
S2E22: American Ultra
Despite its marketing, this psuedo-stoner, Bourne-esque, political satire romance flick is sorely lacking in the laughs department.
S2E21: Straight Outta Compton
When something happens in South Central Los Angeles nothing happens… they just film a biopic. Listen to me and Steve praise this lengthy hip hop drama about West Coast legends.
S2E20: Fantastic Four
What happens when some unproven director who got lucky with his debut tries to tackle Marvel’s first family with a dark, downbeat tone? Listen to me rage and Steve try to protect this failure in our most heated review yet.
S2E19: Shaun The Sheep Movie
A surprise, silent, spin-off, fun for the whole family treat that sadly won’t be watched by many in a year dominated by big budgets.
