This weeks selection was made by Steve for purely superficial and selfish reasons; however, despite my general disliking of epics, I found myself really surprised and engaged by this spectacle. It has a great message at its core about the holy land that shouldn’t be missed.

Two Cents 014: Saturday Night Special
The episode in which Steve had plans so we recorded a day early. Topics discussed include Bill Finger, Furious 8’s director woes, Fox adapting Agatha Christie, the Oculus VR press conference, Mubi’s rise from obscurity after snagging a Paul Thomas Anderson exclusive, Ridley Scott’s proposed Prometheus title.
Plus we talk about The Babadook, Limitless, its TV adaptation, and some pilots (Minority Report, The Muppets, Scream Queens).
Debt to Cinema 001: High Noon
The first episode in our new show that is dedicated to reviewing films either one or the both of us has never seen.
Two Cents 013: ‘Tis the Season
The Emmy free episode in which we talk about the death of Silent Bob, Transformers 5 possibly getting Michael Bay back, biopics starring JGL inspired by docs, films that are personal experiences, the hits at TIFF, Pacific Rim 2, POV movies, Hollywood betting big on China, directors being hired for political reasons, Amazon’s 4K Fire TV, and I final feel like watching scary movies + baby reviews for The Visit and Project Almanac.
Two Cents 011: Add It to the List
The episode in which we mention some upcoming biopics, rumors for Apple’s latest event, Hulu finally giving you a way to remove adds, the importance of the commercial break, Force Friday, Sony’s bad luck, and if they can turn it around by finally making the great videogame adaptation.
Two Cents 010: I’ll See You in My Nightmares
The episode in which we mourn the recent passing of Wes Craven, the future of the Alien film universe, our reactions to fan service, movies being adapted to TV, IMAX releases, the next mega blockbuster, how the internet reacts to them post-release, and the interactive movie/choose your own adventure video games out there.
Two Cents 009: The End of Summer
The episode in which we talk about even more adaptations, watching movies on Apple tech, mononyms, the dream of a Disneyland attraction shared universe event, and cinema breakthroughs being tied to controversial stories.
We basically review Sinister 2 and The End of The Tour as well, which leads to us looking toward the future of our careers.
S2E22: American Ultra
Despite its marketing, this psuedo-stoner, Bourne-esque, political satire romance flick is sorely lacking in the laughs department.
Two Cents 008: Give a Dog a Bone
The episode in which Steve introduces the show because he isn’t happy about a text message exchange, the many faces of Batman, Star Wars invading Disney Parks, and the passing of a great picture dog.
S2E21: Straight Outta Compton
When something happens in South Central Los Angeles nothing happens… they just film a biopic. Listen to me and Steve praise this lengthy hip hop drama about West Coast legends.
