I caught a midnight screening and a guest host to get this episode out to you Friday morning because I was so excited. You’d probably hear it in my voice if this was a Batman, Superman, or Trinity film, but instead we got DC’s gritty, intellectual Iron Man 2.

This week Steve finally got me to watch Mark Steven Johnson’s cut of that other Ben Affleck superhero movie everyone always shits on. As a fan of the theatrical cut, I was satisfied with the version I grew up with, but agreed the timing with this month’s related releases was too perfect to pass on.

Debt to Cinema 023: Robocop 3 (w/Cynical Cartoons)
I met Tyler from Future Horse Podcast and knew we had to do a RoboCop double feature when he caught the reference to the savior of Detroit in our name. So I skipped the first sequel and made Steve watch this PG-13 trainwreck (perhaps as a little payback for The Star Wars Holiday Special) for his second foray against OCP.
Dollar Reviews 013: The Witch/Love/The Life of Pablo
This week Steve caught The Witch (aka “the best horror flick of 2016”) while I binged on Netflix’s Love (5:08) and Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo (10:40). Plus I watched the pilot for HBO’s Animals (19:04) and Steve saw Candyman (22:15) and Bloodstream (30:25).
Debt to Cinema 022: You’ve Got Mail
This might be our list of shame show, but I have no shame in placing this on my list of favorites. This may not be an amazing film, but there’s something perfect about. Maybe its just them – the quintessential romcom couple of Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan; or Nora Ephron perfecting her style. Either way, this product placement infused, remake is necessary watching and I finally made Steve see it.

I wasn’t paying attention and accidentally jacked Steve’s pick this week. He agreed my Groundhog Day tribute episode should be released as intended, plus its only a matter of time until someone makes a mistake.
