Despite its top billing, Macon Blair’s Melanie Lynskey/Elijah Wood staring Netflix exclusive isn’t the big review this episode, that honor is split between my solo outings with Playstation VR’s Farpoint + Aim Controller (14:57) and Master of None season two (24:15). Meanwhile, Steve missed another chance at catching GotG Vol. 2 in 3D and settled on anime darling, Your Name (31:43) and I close with praise for film podcast 80s All Over (38:27).

Two Cents 081: One Big, Happy Family
The episode in which we continue TrumpWatch2017, Apocalypse Now is becoming a videogame, Square-Enix is doing the same to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Fox has enlisted Bryan Singer for an in universe X-Men pilot, The Flash stays troubled, Predator sounds amazing, and I tried the Naked Chicken Chalupa. Also, my thoughts on The Founder, Moonlight, SportsBar VR, and Girlschool DJ night; and Steve’s on some Amazon docs, Bone Tomahawk, and I Know Who Killed Me. Plus, AT&T/Time Warner might have competition between Comcast adding cellular lines to its family and Verizon possibly buying Charter Communications, Oscar nominations, the next projects from Jeremy Saulnier and James Ponsoldt, and the first UHD Blu-ray drives are coming to PCs.
Dollar Reviews 019: Green Room/Sing Street/Jungle Book
This under the radar, music double feature episode begins with Jeremy Saulnier’s punks vs nazis thriller, Green Room (03:29), then gets a much needed dose of sunshine from John Carney’s 80s musical sendup, Sing Street (22:13). Plus Steve re-watched The Little Prince (32:28) and I caught Jon Favreau’s Jungle Book in 3D (32:55) which leads to fun convo about the state of CGI (40:03).
