Dollar Reviews 008: 13 Hours/Victoria
This episode was our last chance to stuff things in before doing our Best of 2015 show. We start off with 2016’s first big movie, Michael Bay’s 13 Hours, then move into Bryon playing catch up: Victoria (10:01), Sicario (13:19), Wild Tales (18:42), The Big Short (22:21), The Danish Girl (25:19), Crimson Peak (35:18), The Intern (40:56), Spotlight (45:58), The Lobster (54:18), and The Gift (58:45). Finally we close with Steve rewatching The Walk at home in 3D (1:05:41).
S2E23: The Walk
As a special treat for one of Steve’s final days in California, we drove out to Hollywood to catch this latest spectacle in the TCL Chinese Theater’s laser projected IMAX 3D auditorium. A one of a kind movie palace which is fitting for the feat that was recreated for the biopic. If only the film was as special as our environment was that day.

The Emmy free episode in which we talk about the death of Silent Bob, Transformers 5 possibly getting Michael Bay back, biopics starring JGL inspired by docs, films that are personal experiences, the hits at TIFF, Pacific Rim 2, POV movies, Hollywood betting big on China, directors being hired for political reasons, Amazon’s 4K Fire TV, and I final feel like watching scary movies + baby reviews for The Visit and Project Almanac.
