While everyone else is busy polishing off fruitcake, buying people presents, and doing their best to embody the holiday spirit, Steve thought we should visit the more sinister side of the yuletide season. We were lucky to have the spooktacular Brennan teach us about the slasher genre, while we marveled at this film’s place in it, and guide us on our first journey down Bob Clark’s lesser known Xmas miracle, which gives the best gift of all: fear #IdBuyThatForADollar
We begin with the all Daniels, tour de farts, Swiss Army Man which will hopefully ride the current under the radar into your hearts, then surf into Finding Dory (20:28) a little later than the rest of the ocean of film critics. Finally, Steve caught Max Landis’s Victor Frankenstein (32:00) and I talk future proofing my Playstation VR library with Mike Bithell’s Volume (36:05).

The episode in which we talk about James Bond theme songs, Legendary making a Godzilla vs King Kong movie, WB setting a date for the next Christopher Nolan film, a Trainspotting sequel, the AMC Preacher show getting a series order, Snapchat joining the original content party, and Apple living in the tech past. Plus, we give reviews to Chappie, Jupiter Ascending, and Shane Black’s Monster Squad.
