We proudly present our delayed review for the kitten caper, Keanu, with a heavy dosage of off-topic conversation (including my angst for shitty, spoilerific news items). Also, Steve caught A Space Program (22:34), Surf II (24:19), Romeo + Juliet (27:36), and Alien 3 (45:00).

Debt to Cinema 032: Cat People (1942)
I thought Steve was kitten when he said hiss pick this week was made to coincide with the release of Key and Peele’s Keanu. Is cat seriously the best he could come up with? Meow, I personally try to make purrfect selections, but when I’m feline lazy I might slip up too. (Note: Puns can be dangerous, I tail’ya stay safe out there)
Two Cents 044: Primed to Compete
The week in which Harriet Tubman is taking over the $20, Amazon Prime subscriptions are now available month to month, Netflix has less movies than Amazon and Hulu, two Uber flicks are in the works, Alfonso Cuaron is helping with the Warner Bros Jungle Book, AMC Theaters is showing Purple Rain in Prince’s memory, MTV Cribs is returning on Snapchat, Youtube launches live 360 degree video content, and Las Vegas hotels are going to begin offering VR porn as room service. Plus, the future of the living room, more news on the PS4K, The Twilight Zone returning as interactive media, Paramount’s all-star writers room for the shared Hasbro universe, blockbuster fatigue, and internet response to whitewashing.
Dollar Reviews 019: Green Room/Sing Street/Jungle Book
This under the radar, music double feature episode begins with Jeremy Saulnier’s punks vs nazis thriller, Green Room (03:29), then gets a much needed dose of sunshine from John Carney’s 80s musical sendup, Sing Street (22:13). Plus Steve re-watched The Little Prince (32:28) and I caught Jon Favreau’s Jungle Book in 3D (32:55) which leads to fun convo about the state of CGI (40:03).
Debt to Cinema 031: Up in Smoke
If I’ve learned anything from this show its that Steve doesn’t exactly get comedy. I can’t fault him for thinking Freddy Got Fingered is the second coming of the plague, but surely he must appreciate the original stoner duo, right? International Pot Smokers Day is the perfect time to find out.
Two Cents 043: Bright Lights, Big Shitty (Theater Experience)
The episode in which North Carolina is cut off from porn, AMC Theaters let the internet scare them away from making smartphone friendly auditoriums, Fandango is changing the ticketing game, Avatar is now getting 4 sequels, Mark Rylance is Steven Spielberg’s new favorite actor, Pokemon might get the live action treatment, and the Loch Ness Monster was found. Plus, we dedicate a section just to superhero news (#Batfleck), speculate about Alphabet’s Sidewalk Labs, Sony’s Emoji movie doesn’t sound horrible, Star Trek Beyond in Barco Escape, another Fahrenheit 451 adaptation, and the return of Warren Beatty.
Debt to Cinema 030: Rope
I’m sure I’ve mentioned this film a couple of times on the show, either in my review of Victoria, or just in passing; but I got a special amount of satisfaction in having Steve pick a classic that I had the good fortune of seeing despite my limited exposure to Classical Hollywood, let alone Hitchcock’s filmography. This is an absolute gem that needs to be seen, even if only one of us is keen on the particulars outside of the technical wonderment.
Two Cents 042: Life, The Universe, and Everything
The episode in which my car gets broken into again, The Muppets are playing Outside Lands, Seth Rogen is adapting another comic book for TV, Warners has decided in favor of more DC instead of risks, Marvel is going to Freeform and Sony, while not staying true to itself, reactions to Rogue One’s first trailer, Starz joins the OTT train, and 4K UHD Blu-rays are becoming a clearer picture. Plus, sports broadcasting on Twitter and Yahoo/the latter being acquired, VR being used for real world applications, Pharrell is producing Hidden Figures, Charlize Theron re-teaming with past directors, and Caitlyn Jenner appearing on Transparent.
Debt to Cinema 029: Freddy Got Fingered
Ripped straight from the headlines of Two Cents 040, I made Steve watch what he basically claims is the cinematic equivalent of waterboarding. This is our most divisive episode yet and probably the most telling of our personalities (followed by Anomalisa’s AFDM). Consider this a warm up for Bio-Dome.
Two Cents 041: So Long, and Thanks for All the Fusion
The week in which Tesla goes mainstream, Warner Bros scrambles to make their DC Extended Universe viable, the final Back to the Future Ride is closing, Fox has created an Alien Day, Final Fantasy XV is actually being released, Sony’s 4K HDR video marketplace is live, Starz and Showtime try the binge model, HBO is adapting a Gillian Flynn novel, and Fox is putting their relationship with the MLB to good use. Plus, viewing your StubHub seat and saving cats in VR, Amazon Prime going monthly, a Sicario sequel, Jonah Hill is trying directing, several re-teamings, and Marti Noxon is making major moves.
